Leading up to the 2020 New Zealand elections, EWP hosted a webinar series titled ‘Meet the Ethnic Women Candidates: NZ Elections 2020’. Featuring two panel discussions with women candidates from minority ethnic communities who represent the major political parties in New Zealand, the kōrero asked the panelists about their identity, politics, aspirations, challenges, and the impact of their presence in politics on ethnic women in the community. Chaired by Rachel Simon-Kumar, Priya Kurian and Hye Ji (Erica) Lee.
